record-o-mania
i did a bunch of recording this month. everything sucks FINALLY rounded up chris and he recorded his bass tracks to our new shit. two new songs that’ll be on a single with a zine from matt. it’s going to be good.
tracking the bass didn’t take very long, maybe 40 minutes? which makes crazy that it could’ve been done months ago
before chris could record the vocals brian did it for him verbally. check it out. it was the best thing. ever.
also he insured that chris remembered how to play it by showing him personally
things got a little hot and heavy
those crazy guys. so pumped for these two new songs. i really hope they are done soon.
we started the deep pockets demo in november and are just about done. should be done, or close to being done by monday. also you can see one important thing in any recording process is pretzels and gatorade.
conor and i thought that using a blanket he had in his car to absorb some of the bleed sound would probably be a good idea. we realized it totally wasn’t necessary and took it down
the usual amp in between the drums to cut some more sound
here’s justin setting up his bass amp. we pointed it into the other room and put the mic in there with it
here’s my drums and some legs. i didn’t notice justin wasn’t wearing socks until i looked at this picture
here’s matt, justin and conor listening to some of the first takes of the day.
here’s the dudes working some stuff out. we eventually got back together to do some overdubs, then vocals, then vocals, then vocals, then vocals. so should be done soon and we’ll be making some tapes together with mike andriani. stoked for a new project to finally begin.
