the other night it happened – brian and sara took the plunge! i don’t think in the four or five years i’ve known brian i’ve seen him happier. when his music started playing and he walked out he had the biggest grin on his face that he couldn’t contain if he tried. the ceremony was perfect, nothing too mushy, no god stuff. their kitties and the band even got shout outs! they were pronounced man and wife and walked by down the aisle for the first time as a married couple

fifteen minutes after all that was done brian was back cracking jokes and talking mets

how bout you, sideburns?

the food was slammin’ because sara and brian are “foodies”… little mini burgers!

at steiner studios there was this beautiful balcony view (scroll down for panoramic)

we made frequent trips out there for air and smoke

sean ya got spinach in ya teeth

brian kept coming over to persuade us to dance, he was sayin something about executives and stock market moves or something

he then demonstrated his ramble on matt

chris was straight outta mad men with his slicked hair and dapper suit

i missed something (forget what) but i made matt redo whatever it was that he did…?

burt eventually dragged us out to the floor to make sure our hips didn’t lie

up close and personal with sean and brian

at some point a glass of champagne was smashed right in the middle of the floor and brian thought it a good idea to dance on top of it

charlotte’s dress was made of magic fabric that was resistant to water and wrinkles

maegan “can’t live without food”

i tried to get a nice snapshot of maegan and sean and jenna popped the bunny ears

second time – successful

charlotte was doing her pretend drunk girl act a lot towards the end

we were exhausted at the end of the night, great times had by all. congratulations brian and sara!

uneventful fourth of july thai food

with really entertaining reading material apparently

they did the fireworks on the hudson this year but all of queens didn’t know about it… so many sad children loaded back into their cars

i felt bad for my roommate(s) who just moved here from california, first fourth of july is a big wohn-wahn. at least there was iced cream

charlotte’s lipstick was the most explosive thing in the area

get it?? yeah, like that movie from 19 years ago

the sky was better before any fireworks even went off

though we can always count on my neighbors for a substitute show

ES is very nearly finished. i’ve been doing little bouts of mixing here and there

and matt’s just gotta finish up some vocals… so stoked to have stuff close to being done

we’re taking our time to make sure it turns out right though. oh, we’re on a comp that just came out. it has “strong island” in the title. it’s on itunes too.
