recording with the weed hounds pt. 1

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

my good buddy nicholas rheiss recently asked me if i would use my lack of talent and/or knowledge to record his new band india 5,000.

i obliged.

it was such a gorgeous day i ended up shooting some sort of groupy bandy shots. more of those on film to come.

they are a good band. if you were to take the 90s and then add some more ambient fuzz you’d have the w33d hounds.

the next night we went to trader joe’s to get food to eat. the sun was setting. they did vocals (first time for them both) and did a pretty awesome job. a little more to work on still then some mixing. matt is a hero for letting them use his basement to do all of this.
